LCD 1602 Shield Module with Parallel Interface
Description:
This is a basic 16 character by 2 line display. It utilizes the extremely common HD44780 parallel interface chipset. Interface code is freely available. You will need 11 general I/O pins to interface to this LCD screen. Includes LED back-light. Hobbyists use it in many electronics projects. We have different color options to choose from.
The character generator software is freely available online.
These LCD displays are very stable, unlike cheaper ones that only work for a short period of time.
